Minister Nitin Gadkari suggests automobile industry to diversify towards ethanol, green hydrogen, and other biofuel

Hyderabad: The automobile industry should diversify towards ethanol, green hydrogen, methanol and others thinking 50 years ahead, said Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road, Transport and Highways, reports Economic Times.

He was speaking at an event organized by the FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO).

Addressing the gathering, minister said, “As Transport Minister, my dream is diversification of automobile industry towards ethanol, methanol, biodiesel, bioCNG,…and green hydrogen.”

“Ethanol and green hydrogen are important fuels in the future. Green hydrogen was earlier made from water and now it is possible to make it from organic waste. Our dream is to export green hydrogen to the world,” he further added.
