Bagaha, Bihar: In light of ongoing complaints about malpractices raised by farmers in Bagaha, a team led by the District Sugarcane Officer, District Measurement and Weights Officer, under the guidance of the District Magistrate, conducted an inspection of approximately a dozen weighing scales in Bagaha-2, reported Live HIndustan.
Previously, protests by sugarcane farmers had been staged in places like Bherihari and others, prompting the official to direct the formation of a three-member team.
During the inspection, the team examined the weighing scales of various weighing stations in Bherihari, Naurangiya, and Sirisiya, among others. The licenses of the operated weighing scales were also scrutinized. Additionally, the team investigated the operations of the crusher in Naurangiya.
