Bazpur, Uttarakhand: Sugar mill has completed all the preparations to commence sugarcane crushing season and it is expected that mill will start operations from November 20.
According to the mill administration, the delay in starting operations was due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now as the cases of Covid-19 reduced, they have decided to start operations.
Sugar mill’s GM, Prakash Chandra said, “All the preparations to begin the new season is completed. Looking at the Covid-19 situation, the crushing operation will remain tough but we are fully prepared. The workers will go through thermal scanning before entering the sugar mill premises. They will be asked to sanitize their hands before entering and after leaving the mill premises.”
