Bihar: Two ethanol units to come up in Madhubani

Madhubani, Bihar: State Industry Minister Samir Kumar Mahaseth said that two ethanol units will be set up on the premises of Lohat Sugar Mill in the upcoming months, reports Dainik Jagran.

This will generate employment for more than 10,000 persons from the Mithila region and will help to boost the agricultural economy.

As per the media report, minister said that with an investment of Rs 800 crore, two ethanol units in the Lohat sugar mill premises will produce 5 lakh litre ethanol per day.

It must be noted that Bihar is the first state in country to introduce an ethanol policy. Following this, many investors were keen to invest in ethanol projects in the state.
