Uttar Pradesh: BKU Arajnaitik to agitate demanding announcement of sugarcane price

Bijnor: BKU Arajnaitik’s Youth Pradesh President Digambar Singh has announced that on January 2, the BKU (apolitical) will protest across all tehsils, along with the district headquarters, regarding the declaration of sugarcane prices for the 2023-24 crushing season, reported Live Hindustan.

Nitin Sirohi, the district president of the organization, expressed concern that even after two months of the sugarcane crushing season in Uttar Pradesh, farmers are unaware of the valuation of their sugarcane.

Farmers are hopeful that the Uttar Pradesh government will increase sugarcane prices. Sirohi stated that the decision to protest on January 2, 2024, across district headquarters in the state has been taken by the BKU (apolitical). The protest will include a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister, which will be presented to the District Magistrate during a ganna march in the city.
