Sao Paulo: French sugar producer Tereos SA has stated that its Brazilian unit expects to crush 17 million tonnes of sugarcane in the 2022/23 season.
According to the company, around 65% of the sugarcane in Brazil would be diverted to the sugar production this season as against 62% in the preceding year. The remaining 35% of the cane would be diverted to ethanol production, it said.
