Bulandshahar: Sugarcane survey in the district to be completed by June 30

Bulandshahar: The district administration has begun a comprehensive survey of sugarcane crops, which will continue until June 30. The data collected from this survey will form the basis for preparing farmers’ registration (satta), required for applying for sugarcane supply slips, reported Amar Ujala.

Officials have urged farmers to cooperate with the survey process to ensure smooth operations.

District Cane Officer Anil Kumar Bharti stated that last year, sugarcane was cultivated on 77,000 hectares in the district, with over 1.40 lakh registered sugarcane farmers. Eight sugar mills in the district procure sugarcane from these farmers. The ongoing survey is aimed at assessing the current sugarcane cultivation area and includes both autumn and spring varieties. GPS technology is being used for greater accuracy.

To ensure transparency, farmers are being informed in advance about the date of the survey team’s visit, along with the name and mobile number of the team in-charge. This information is being sent via SMS three days prior to the visit.

Farmers must also fill out their declaration forms online. Those who fail to do so may be excluded from the 2025–26 crushing season, as their registration could be cancelled.
