Chhattisgarh: Jyotsna Green plans to set up grain-based ethanol plant

Jyotsna Green Products plans to set up a grain-based ethanol plant with a capacity of 150 kilolitres per day (klpd) at Mahuda village in Patan tehsil of Durg district in Chhattisgarh, reported Projects Today.

The new facility, which will be spread over 18.61 acres of land, will also include a five-megawatt (MW) co-generation power plant.

The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) gave environmental clearance (EC) to Jyotsna Green in July 2022.

The company is currently in the process of securing financial closure for the project and is awaiting other mandatory approvals.

Construction work is expected to start in November 2024 and the contractor has not yet been finalized.
