Rise in coronavirus cases in Maharashtra: 5 more tested positive in Islampur

Sangli: Maharashtra has reported five new coronavirus cases. According to the reports, the latest cases are from Sangli district, where five members of a family in Islampur tested coronavirus positive. With this, the number of total cases reached 112 in Maharashtra.

An official said, “We are checking if the five have a recent travel history within India or outside.”

Central and state governments are working hard to stop the spread of coronavirus. In a bid to contain the spread of coronavirus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced total lockdown in the country for 21 days. With this attempt, India hopes to curb the spread of Covid-19 infection. Coronavirus cases are growing rapidly in India and across the world.

The coronavirus which had first emerged in China’s Wuhan city in December last year and has now spread to across many countries in the world.
