Coronavirus cases detected in Kolhapur

Kolhapur: Several positive cases of COVID-19 were reported from different parts of the country on Thursday. Also, Coronavirus case in Kolhapur district has been reported.

According to the reports, two people were tested positive of coronavirus in Kolhapur. One is a young girl who was in close contact with positive patients in Islampur town in Sangli district. She was admitted at Miraj Civil hospital in Miraj in Sangli district after her tests came out positive on Thursday night. Other is of man, who returned from Pune. His swab test also came as positive.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the number of cases tested positive for coronavirus in India rose to 724 on Friday. There have been 30 new cases reported in the country since Thursday night (8 pm). The number of people who have been cured or discharged stands at 66 while there are 640 active COVID-19 patients in the county.

17 people have died from the disease while one case has migrated, as per the union health ministry. Cases have been reported from 27 states/Union Territories.

Maharashtra has reported one more death since Thursday night, taking the total death toll in the state to 4, the highest so far in the country.
