Crackdown against sugar hoarders continue in Pakistan

Nawabshah, Pakistan: Cracking whip against the sugar

hoarders, the district administration on Saturday claimed to have recovered over 2,000 sugar bags after raiding a godown in the Sindh Province.

The administration has initiated action against hoarders after Prime Minister Imran Khan issued directives to curb price hike in the commodity.
Assistant Commissioner Tariq Solangi conducted the raid in Muhammad town of Nawabshah. The warehouse has been sealed after recovering the sugar bags.

In earlier raids conducted at Hi-tech mill in Kotri, a team led by ADC Shaukat Ali Ujjan recovered more than 1,00,000 sug

ar sacks. The agencies are investigating about the factory owner identified as Haseeb Shaikh s/o Habib Shaikh and his alleged connections with the influential persons in the government.
