Perambalur: Crops down and feilds submereged as heavy rains lashed Kottari and Adhanur on Sunday, reports Indian Express
Enraged by this, the farmers led by the Tamil Nadu Lake and River Irrigation Farmers Association protested outside the district collectorate demanding the construction of the road leading to their fields which are waterlogged due to heavy rainfall.
The protesters led by association president P Viswanathan submitted a letter of their demands to Collector P Sri Venkata Priya.
They want district administration to inspect the crop losses and compensate them apart from providing a pathway to their fields.
