Domestic Market

Stable to firm sentiment in domestic Sugar prices

Domestic sugar prices are reported to be stable to firm in the major markets. Prices remained stable in Maharashtra, while they increased by Rs 5 per quintal in Uttar Pradesh. At current prices, demand is said to be strong.

The cost of M-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar ranges between Rs 3,740 and Rs 3,770 per quintal, while the estimated cost of S-grade sugar in Kolhapur is between Rs 3,400 and Rs 3,440. Agrimandi predicts that the price of S grade sugar in the Kolhapur market will fall to between Rs 3,400 and Rs 3,480 per quintal over the next two weeks. However, prices per quintal are said to be between Rs 3,330 and Rs 3,380 in Solapur.
