Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices reported to be stable to weak
Sugar prices in the major domestic markets have been reported to be stable to weak. Prices in Kolhapur are trading stable, while in other centers, prices fell by Rs 20-30 per quintal. Previous season sugar prices are trading at a discount of Rs 40-50 per quintal to new season sugar prices.
S-grade sugar in Kolhapur is priced between Rs 3,630 and Rs 3,660 per quintal, while M-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar is priced between Rs 3,980 and Rs 4,040. S grade sugar, according to Agrimandi, will trade in Kolhapur markets for between Rs 3,600 and Rs 3,720 over the next two weeks.

At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #5 front month contract is trading at $737.10 ton, whereas the New York Sugar #11 front month contract is trading at 26.89 c/lb.
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 83.363 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 4.9035, Crude futures traded at โน6221, Crude WTI traded at $74.62 barrel.
