Defunct Chittoor sugar factory will be revived soon

Chittoor: MP N Reddappa has stated that the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has accepted the farmers demand to revive the defunct Chittoor Cooperative Sugar factory and Chittoor Dairy. Taking steps in this regard, CM has asked the district collector to prepare a comprehensive report about the revival of the mill.

“CM wants to develop Chittoor district as a role model in the state as the YSRCP won all the assembly and MP seats from Chittoor except Kuppam during last elections,” he further added.

Earlier Industries Minister M Goutham Reddy stated that Andhra Pradesh government is mulling to revive ten cooperative sick sugar mills in the state. The revival will be done in a phased manner. He had also alleged that the TDP government is responsible for the unfortunate situation of sugar mills in the state.
