Baghpat: Dr. Satyapal Singh, Member of Parliament representing Baghpat constituency met sugarcane minister Laxmi Narayan Chaudhari and urged him to increase the crushing capacity of the sugar mill, reports Amar Ujala.
Singh said that since long cane growers have been demanding for increase in crushing capacity of the mill so they don’t have sell their cane to the jaggery units and face loss.
The crushing capacity of the mill is 25,000 quintals and request for increasing the crushing capacity has been forwarded to the minister, he said.
Sugarcane Minister assured him to look into the matter on a priority basis.
