Basti: SP MLA and district unit head Mahendranath Yadav has extended his support to the ongoing agitation launched by the farmers and workers for the revival of the Walterganj sugar mill and pending dues demand.
As per news report published in Amar Ujala, MLA said, “I have raised the issue during the Budget session at Vidhan Sabha and asked the government to resolve the issue on a priority basis,”
The sugar mill owes dues worth Rs 62 crore to the cane farmers and mill workers but the administration is not taking any steps to resolve the issue, he said.
“We will continue our agitation till the sugar mill clears the pending cane dues of farmers and accepts the demands of the workers,”Yadav conlcuded.
