Egypt bans sugar import for more three months

Cairo: The Egypt government has decided to extend the halt to the import of sugar for the next three months. The decree issued by Minister of Trade and Industry Nivene Gamea to extend the ban on sugar imports was published in the Official Gazette on Monday.

The decree no. 606 prohibits the state from importing raw and white sugar for three months without prior approval from the ministers of trade and industry and supply and internal trade.
