Muzaffarnagar: In a surprise raid conducted by the district administration, seven persons including the owner of the sugar mill have been booked for allegedly short-weighing sugarcane at a purchasing center in Nanheda village, according to theweek.
District sugarcane officer R D Trivedi said that the action was taken against the officials of Khaikhedi sugar mill.
They were found tampering weighing machine.
A case has been registered against eight persons including the owner of the mill under relevant sections of IPC.
