Pune: A ceremony is organised on May 20, 2023 to bid farewell to Shekhar Gaikwad, Maharashtra sugar commissioner, as reported by Free Press Journal.
The event is scheduled for 11 am at Dr Shriram Sabhagruha, College of Agriculture, located in Shivajinagar, Pune.
Gaikwad will be felicitated during the ceremony by Central Minister Narayan Rane and former Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan. Dr Budhajirao Mulik, Vice-Chancellor of the College of Agriculture, will preside over the program.
Having embarked on his career after clearing the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) examination in 1987, Gaikwad has served in various regions including Kolhapur, Solapur, Thane, and Nashik. Notably, he has held the esteemed positions of District Collector in Nashik and Municipal Commissioner in Pune.
