Chandigarh: The state and central governments are committed to the welfare of the farmers and taking steps for their betterment, said Haryana Agriculture Minister J P Dalal.
“The government has set an aim to double farmers’ income by 2022 and make them financially strong and self-sustainable and taking steps in this direction,” he said.
Discussing the demands made by the farmer delegation regarding the increase in sugarcane price and the increased electricity rates, he said his doors are always open for farmers to discuss their problems.
