Baghpat, Doghat: Sugarcane farmers have demanded to change the crop purchase centre of the Bhaisana sugar mill and replace it with of another sugar mill, reports Amar Ujala.
Farmers have threatened to launch an agitation if the demands are not accepted. Thousands of farmers send their cane to the Bhaisana sugar mill but the mill is not paying their cane dues on time and they claim that they face financial distress to meet their daily needs.
A meeting of the sugarcane development centre was organised on September 4 during which they demanded the removal of cane purchase centres of Bhaisana sugar mill from Nirpuda, Gaidbara, Daha, Idrishpur and Dhanaura.
