Meerut, Uttar Pradesh: Sugarcane farmers from Kinauni and Maliyana under the banner of Kisan Sangharsh Samiti launched agitation at sugarcane Bhavan on Tuesday
According to the news report published in Livehindustan.com, the agitating farmers demanded that the sugar mills should clear cane dues on time.
During the meeting with the government officials at Sugarcane Bhavan, farmers stated that they are facing problems in sending cane to the sugar mill. The farmers also asked the government to raise the sugarcane price to Rs 400 per quintal
