Fight against Coronavirus: Face mask made from sugarcane waste

New Delhi: A Delhi based company Effibar has come in the market with a biodegradable mask that can be used for 30 times. According to the company, the mask is made up of the sugarcane waste and is decomposable.

Rajesh Bhardwaj, the founder of Effibar Group, said that the Bioface mask is a biodegradable mask. It also has an anti-bacterial property. Because it is made of PLA compound and polytic acid. Hence it is a biodegradable and anti-bacterial mask.

Coronavirus cases are increasing in India. After America and Brazil India is the most affected country in the world. Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry informed on Monday that India’s COVID-19 case tally crossed the 11 lakh mark with the highest single-day spike of 40,425 new cases and 681 deaths reported in the last 24 hours. Total cases in the country now stand at 11,18,043 while the death toll is 27,497.
The Health Ministry said the total number of cases includes 3,90,459 active cases and 7,00,087 patients have been cured/discharged/migrated.
