Fiji to learn from Australian sugar industry

Fiji’s sugar industry is looking forward to learning from the Australian sugar industry in the areas of ethanol production, power co-generation, and production of refined sugar, reports Fbcnews.

The issue was discussed during the meeting of the Sugar Minister Charan Jeath Singh with the Australian Charge d’affaires to Fiji, Stuart Watts.

Climate change and its impact on the sugar sector, shortage of labor, and lack of interest in cane farming among youth are the challenges Fiji’s sugar industry is facing.
