Fire erupts at Mohiuddinpur sugar mill, no casualties reported

Meerut, Uttar Pradesh: A massive fire broke out in the sugarcane bagasse stored in the 120-foot-high tinshed above the mill house of Mohiuddinpur sugar mill on Sunday evening. Flames engulfed the tin shed, sending plumes of smoke into the sky. Panic ensued among the mill workers, reported Live Hindustan.

Two fire engines that were already at the mill premises to extinguish a fire in the bushes rushed to the mill house. Upon receiving the information, they reached the mill house and immediately began efforts to douse the fire in the tin shed. The fire was raging high, and it took firefighters two hours to bring it under control. Fortunately, no one was injured. Mill workers said that if the fire brigade had not been present at the mill already, a major accident could have occurred.

According to the information, a fire broke out in the bushes outside the Mohiuddinpur sugar mill on Sunday evening, and two fire engines arrived to extinguish it. As the firefighters were gaining control of the fire in the bushes, a fire broke out in the sugarcane bagasse in the 120-foot-high tinshed above the mill house. The fire quickly took on a menacing form. The firefighters rushed to the mill house and began trying to control the fire. Mill workers also joined in the effort to extinguish the raging fire. After about two hours of struggle, the fire was brought under control.
