Ghaziabad: The Ghaziabad district administration has fixed prices of 21 essential commodities to keep a check on overpricing. The list includes the essential commodities that are in daily use by household consumers.
The officials have released rates of wholesale and retail prices of the 21 commodities that include sugar, pulses, oil, rice, mustard oil and other commodities.
The list and wholesale and retail prices were prepared after holding discussions with different traders and market associations.
As per the list, 1 kg of sugar should be sold at Rs 37 in wholesale and Rs 39 in the retail market. Also, the price of other essential commodities has been fixed.
