Ponda: Goa’s Deputy Chief Minister and Agriculture minister Chandrakant ‘Babu’ Kavlekar has assured to resolve the pending ex-gratia issue of the confirmed employees of Sanjivani sugar mill.
The employees had launched an agitation for their demand and warned that they would intensify their agitation if the government fails to take decision before Ganesh Chaturthi.
Following his assurance, the workers have temporarily withdrawn their strike until Monday.
The employees associated with the mill had launched a tool down strike on Wednesday in the mill premises for recovery of pending arrears and ex-gratia of 2020-21.
