Government plans to revive Chittoor sugar mill

Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh: Keeping in view the interest of the sugarcane farmers, a detailed report regarding the revival of the Chittoor Cooperative sugar mill will be submitted to the state Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, said MP N Reddappa.

He said, “The sugar factory was closed due to the mismanagement by then TDP government. Former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu was responsible defunct of all cooperative institutions in the district.”

“Jagan Mohan Reddy is committed to the welfare of the farmers and is taking steps to ensure their betterment. The revival of the Chittoor sugar mill is one of these steps,” Reddappa further added.

Earlier, he had stated that CM wants to develop Chittoor district as a role model in the state as the YSRCP won all the assembly and MP seats from Chittoor except Kuppam during last elections
