Government plans to use pipelines to transport ethanol instead of rail and trucks: Media report

The government is planning to use pipelines to transport ethanol instead of using rail and trucks, reported ETNow on August 17.

According to their sources, the government authorities are in talks with pipeline manufacturing companies to build pipelines dedicated for Biofuel, said a report published in moneycontrol.com.

The oil marketing companies are currently transporting ethanol-blended petrol via rail and trucks.

The government will also conduct dry runs of pipeline transportation in batches to identify any trailbacks.
