Government recovers Rs 16,66055 crore total receipts in FY 18-19

New Delhi, May 31 (UNI) The Government has received total receipts worth Rs 16,66,055 crore during financial year 2018-19, it was announced on Friday.

This is 91.40 per cent of total receipts in corresponding revised estimates 2018-19, the Finance Ministry said here.

Of the total receipts, Rs 13,16,951 crore was of tax revenue (net to Centre), Rs 2,46,219 crore of non tax revenue and Rs 1,02,885 crore of non debt capital receipts.

The ministry said non debt capital receipts consists of recovery of loans (Rs 17,840 crore) and disinvestment of PSUs (Rs 85,045 crore).

As many as Rs 7,61,454 crore has been transferred to state governments as devolution of share of taxes by Government of India in this period which is Rs 88,449 crore higher than the previous year.

The Ministry has released the accounts of the Union Government (Provisional/Unaudited) for the Financial Year 2018-19.

According to the data, total expenditure incurred by the government is Rs 23,11,422 crore (94.07 per cent of corresponding RE 18-19), out of which Rs 20,08,463 crore is on Revenue Account and Rs 3,02,959 crore is on Capital Account.

Out of the total Revenue Expenditure, Rs 5,82,675 crore is on account of Interest Payments and Rs 1,97,066 crore is on account of Major Subsidies.
