Karnal, Haryana: Haryana cooperation minister Banwari Lal will inaugurate the Atal Kisan canteen in the Kaithal Cooperative Sugar Mill premises on February 7.
According to the district administration, the canteen will provide a meal to the farmers carrying cane at Rs 10. The facility is also available for the employees from the mill. The rest of the expenditure will be borne by the mill management through subsidy.
The government has supplied paycards to the farmers through which they can pay bills at the canteen. The government aims to provide quality food with the farmers at these canteens.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal had earlier stated that the canteen will be opened at markets in the state to provide the farmers lunch at a low rate. On the same line, the government has decided to open the canteens at all the 10 cooperative sugar mills in the state.
Canteen facility will be available in all the ten co-operative mills of the state as per the instructions of the government. This will help farmers to get food at a low rate.
