Haryana: Rohtak sugar mill ranks second in sugar output

Rohtak: Haryana Cooperative Sugar Mills Limited (Rohtak unit) at Bhali Anandpur in the district has ranked second in terms of sugar production and the capacity utilization for the ongoing crushing season, reports Tribune India.

As per media report, the crushing season in the state began on November 12, 2021. The mill has produced 3.54 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 38.55 lakh quintals of sugarcane and has recorded 97.52% capacity utilization so far. Around 6,400 sugarcane farmers from across 225 villages are associated with the Rohtak sugar mill.

Shahbad Sugar Mill in Kurukshetra topped in the state.

The mill has paid a total of Rs 21.67 crore to the farmers that supplied cane to the farmers from January 18 to February 5 and the total cane payment done so far is around Rs 103.82 crore. The mill has produced 1.7 crore electricity units worth Rs 11.25 crore.

Pradeep Ahlawat, Managing Director of the mill said that for the first time the mill has got second position.
