Hasanpur: Shortage of sugarcane for crushing led the Hasanpur sugar mill to discontinue crushing for the on-going crushing season. The mill stopped cane crushing after completing the crushing of 52 lakh quintal sugarcane.
As per the media report, the sugarcane farmers as well as the sugar mill had to tackle the difficulty in the current season due to more rain. Cane harvesting had become a difficult task due to waterlogging in the cane fields.
According to the news report published in Livehindustan.com, the mill has cleared cane bills of the farmers till February 1.
