IOCL to increase ethanol blending in petrol to 20% by 2025

Bhubaneshwar: The IOCL has decided to increase ethanol blending with petrol from the existing 11.8% to 20% by 2025 as a step towards going green and achieving net zero emissions, reports The Times of India.

IOCL also declared 2023 as the year of ‘Strengthening the Green Resolve’. It unveiled its plans to increase ethanol blending in a press conference stating that the ethanol plant in Bargarh will be commissioned by the next financial year.
