Issues of sugarcane farmers would be resolved soon, says Goa’s Deputy Chief Minister

Sanguem: Goa’s deputy chief minister Chandrakant Kavlekar assured the sugarcane farmers that the government will soon resolve their problem and discuss the issue with the chief minister. He met the delegation of cane farmers on Thursday and stated that he is with them and soon come out with a concrete solution for the betterment of cane farmers.

He said, “Since the issue of the Sanjivani sugar mill has surfaced, I have always stayed with the cane farmers and will continue to do so in future.
I persuaded the chief minister to release the payments of the sugarcane supplied to other factories before Chaturthi when the farmers raised the issue at that time.”

Francisco Mascarenhas, who led the delegation to the Deputy Chief Minister, informed that they expect a positive reply from the government with respect to the issues faced by them.
