Paris: Jorge Boucas will be the new chief executive officer of Tereos, the world’s second-largest sugar-producing company, reports Reuters. He would take charge of the office from April 2023.
The seat was vacated after the former chief executive stepped down in September 2022.
Boucas is working as CEO of French dairy cooperative Sodiaal and will continue to the existing post till Feb. 29, said Tereos in a statement.
High sugar and ethanol prices helped the company offset an increase in production costs in the recent results but the company is struggling to reduce debt.
