ChiniMandi: On Thursday, in a meeting with CM H.D.Kumaraswamy, sugar millers came up with their defense stating inability to pay the dues of farmers.
This inability is caused due to dire financial crunch this year. As per a source, the situations of these mills are so bad that they might ask CM to increase the financial assistance for clearing out dues.
Some of the mills owe farmers dues in several crores which will take a year to be cleared out as this huge amount cannot be settled in such a small period.
These millers have urged CM to come up with solutions to solve the matter at earliest.
