Kolhapur records first coronavirus death

Kolhapur: India is fighting against coronavirus, and is adopting all necessary measures to stop the spread of coronavirus. Maharashtra has remained the worst affected state in India. Yesterday Kolhapur district recorded first death due to coronavirus.

According to reports, patient is a 60-year-old man, who was suffering from respiratory problems. He was first admitted at Indira Gandhi Memorial (IGM) hospital in Ichalkaranji town, where he tested positive of corona and later admitted at CPR hospital on April 20. And fighting coronavirus he died on Thursday.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Maharashtra also witnessed hike in coronavirus cases today with 10498 cases including 1773 patients cured/discharged and 459 patients dead. In Maharashtra, Mumbai recorded the highest number of cases.

Coronavirus cases in Kolhapur is still under control, and administration is taking all measures to keep corona at bay.
