Kyrgyzstan government has extended the ban on sugar and other certain products export till August 1, reports local media. The decision in this regard has been taken by the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan.
The Cabinet of Ministers had on June 23, 2021, passed a resolution setting a temporary ban on the export of sugar and other items for six months from the Kyrgyz Republic outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union.
With the end of its term, mass exports resumed. Due to this, a decrease in the stock and hike in price was predicted, therefore the government decided to extend the ban for the next six months starting from February 1 to August 1, 2022.
