Fiji: Low cane supply hits sugar mill operations

Fiji: Labasa sugar mill has stopped its operations last weekend as the supply of sugarcane has lowered in the region due to the heavy rainfall.

According to the Fiji Sugar Corporation (FSC), the region is experiencing continuous rainfall affecting the supply of cane to the mills. Operations were interrupted on Wednesday due to heavy rain, and the factory stopped again over the weekend due to weak cane supply.
