NY sugar Monday rallied to a new 12-year highest futures high, and Dec London ICE white sugar last Friday climbed to a new contract and 1-3/4 month high on the nearest-futures chart.
Sugar prices continue to push higher on the outlook for tighter global sugar supplies. Congestion in Brazil’s ports is limiting sugar exports as a report from Green Pool Commodity Specialists said Brazil’s October sugar exports fell -10% from September.
