Kuala Lumpur: MSM Prai Bhd (MSM Prai), subsidiary of MSM Malaysia Holdings Bhd has signed a contract with The Coca-Cola Company (Coca-Cola) to supply refined sugar worth RM290 million, reports local media.
The company issued a statement stating that the deal has ensured that the company is a leading sugar producer in the Asia Pacific.
As per the contract, the company would supply sugar to Coca-Cola for two years. It is also applied for the export that commenced in December 2021.
Syed Feizal Syed Mohammad, group chief executive officer said that working with Coca-Cola, the world’s most valuable soft drink brand, is part of MSM’s export blueprint as the top eight global integrated sugar refiner.
“This achievement will boost the MSM group and help in its expansion to more markets in the region. The company would abide by the environmental, social and governance framework and supply sugar to the Coca-Cola Company,” he further added.
