Muzaffarnagar: In the upcoming months, sugarcane crushing season is set to kick off in the region. To gear up for this, sugar mills have taken the initiative to formulate operational plans. While seven out of eight mills in the district have successfully cleared 100 per cent payment, Bhaisana Sugar Mill is yet to make full payment, reports Dainik Jagran.
Five mills had already settled their dues earlier, while the remaining mills, Morna and Mansurpur sugar mills cleared their dues just a week ago. During the 2022-23 sugarcane crushing season, Khatauli Sugar Mill stood out as the top performer in terms of sugarcane processing.
Sanjay Sisodia, the District Cane Officer, said that apart from Bhaisana Sugar Mill, the other seven mills have cleared their payments to the respective farmers.
