Ambala: The Haryana cane commissioner has withdrawn his letter asking sugar mills of Bhadson in Karnal, Shahabad, and Yamunanagar to ready for possible diversion of sugarcane from the Naraingarh sugar mill assigned area in case it fails to commence operations for the upcoming crushing season.
According to the news report published in The Times of India, the commissioner has now written a letter to the Shahabad Cooperative Sugar Mills Ltd, Piccadily Agro Industries Ltd and Saraswati Sugar Mills Ltd that the earlier order is now stands withdrawn.
The Naraingarh Sugar Mills Ltd. is likely to continue operations this season, states the letter. This will benefit more than 7000 sugarcane farmers associated with the Naraingarh sugar mill.
