NCP chief Sharad Pawar invites Home Minister Amit Shah to visit Vasantdada Sugar Institute

Mumbai: Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar has invited Union Home Minister Amit Shah to visit the Pune based Vasantdada Sugar Institute.

Amit Shah is also handling the portfolio of the newly formed cooperation ministry by the central government. Pawar recently met the minister in New Delhi on Tuesday and discussed several issues related to the sugar industry.

According to the news report published in Hindustantimes.com, a senior NCP leader on the condition of anonymity said, “When Union Home Minister Amit Shah informed Pawar saheb that he is likely to visit Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management in Pune, then NCP chief invited him to visit Vasantdada Sugar Institute.”

Sharing the details about the discussion, Pawar on microblogging site Twitter had said, “We brought to his notice the two most emergent and severe issues like MSP & permissions to set up Ethanol manufacturing units within the premises of sugar mills. We hope that these issues would be favourably considered & resolved at the earliest by Hon’ble Co-operation Minister.”
