Nzoia Sugar to halt operations in January for maintenance work

Nzoia Sugar will halt operations in January for maintenance purpose, announced the company officials.

Christine Ogutu, managing director of the company said, the company’s operations have been affected as it is operating for five years without any break.

He said, “The company will halt operations in January and the engineers on duty will do the repair and maintenance work that will increase the company’s efficiency and help in addressing incidents like sudden fire that had occurred in past.”

Ogutu assured, “This will help the company to increase output which will assist farmers to increase their income. I assure farmers that I will take the company to such a level that they will not have to protest further for hike in income.”
