Pakistan: 250 bags of sugar hoarded seized during raid

Muzaffargarh: Pakistan government authorities on Thursday raided a local karyana store and seized 250 bags of sugar stocked. A special branch conducted the raid, said officials.

Assistant Commissioner Fiaz Ahmad conducted the raid and sealed the Manzoor Karyana Store located in Chowk Sarwar Shaheed after the sugar was seized. The shop belongs to Shahid Manzoor who was charged with a fine of Rs 10,000.

The officials stated that the action will be conducted against those found hoarding sugar and selling it at a rate higher than fixed by the government.

The government has fixed the rate of sugar at Rs 90 per kg across the country.
