Pakistan: Complaints against sugar mills

Bahawalpur, Pakistan: Responding to the announcement of the government, as many as 100 sugarcane farmers have registered their complaints with the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) against the sugar mills in the Bahawalpur district.
Pakistan’s Punjab government has initiated the action against the sugar millers, who have failed to clear the cane dues. The government had appealed the sugarcane growers to come forward if the mills have not cleared their dues and register complaint with the ACE.

According to the media reports, Rana Muhammad Arshad, assistant director, ACE said, “The complaints continue to pour in against the sugar millers. We expect more complaints against sugar mills

“We will be visiting the houses of sugarcane farmers and will address their complaints,” he further added.
