Pakistan: NAB asked to present detailed report on alleged supply of substandard sugar to Utility Store Cooperation

Pakistan: The sub-body of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has asked the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to investigate the provision of substandard sugar to the utility stores. And submit a detailed report on the alleged supply of substandard sugar to Utility Store Cooperation (USC).

The PAC during the meeting also directed to recover pending dues worth Rs 2 billion from the sugar mills.

According to the media report, the government paid more than Rs.900 million to Haq Baho, Abdul Ghazi and Makkah for sugar supply to USC, but they didn’t supply the agreed sugar to USC.
